Distemper in Dogs and Cats (canine distemper & feline distemper)

All dogs are at risk for distemper, but puppies younger than four months old and dogs that have not been vaccinated against it are particularly vulnerable. The disease is so serious and the signs so varied that any sick dog should be taken to a vet for an examination and diagnosis. Vaccination is absolutely essential for disease prevention, and in addition to vaccination, dietary supplements containing Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, zinc, green tea, and other antioxidants help support normal immune function to prevent infections.
